About Me:
I began homebrewing in the mid-1980s and I’ve been writing about beer since 1992, when I wrote The Bars of Santa Clara County . Since then I’ve also been a beer buyer for a large chain of upscale liquor stores, the General Managaer of a national brewspaper and a judge at beer competitions both large and small. Since becoming exclusively a freelance writer in 2006, I’ve also been writing on-line on a blog, the Brookston Beer Bulletin, where I provide daily media criticism, analysis and news about the beer industry.
